The Hematology Department at Jahmale, performs and interprets a wide range of tests relating to the cellular components of blood. Tests performed in this unit are those for the diagnosis of blood disorders such as anemia, abnormal coagulation, blood malignancies such as leukemia, myelomas etc. by looking at the blood smears.
We use automated analyzers and experienced biomedical scientists to perform these tests. They also screen for blood borne parasites such as Malaria and Filarial.
The department is also responsible for performing Total CD4 analysis, Hemoglobin Electrophoresis and Blood Grouping.
